Katy Perry and John Mayer have called it quits once again.
Us Weekly reports the couple have split for a second time, but sources say there still might be hope for the two in the future.
"It's sad. It's not over until it's over. You have to see how things play out," the source told Us Weekly. "She's leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work."
Perry, 28, and Mayer, 35, began dating last June, and after a few months of enjoying Los Angeles hot spots and pool parties together, the couple decided to end things in August. The split didn't last that long however; as the pair reconciled a month later and were spotted together at a music festival.
In the following months the pair appeared to be very much in love, with Mayer even telling Rolling Stone how happy he was with Perry.
"I mean, I'm quite happy. I'm happy in all aspects of my life. I'm very happy in all aspects of my life," he said in January.
