Inside A Miami Music Week Label Release Party With Apollonia Records, Mobilee, And Anja Schneider (JIPSY PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Anja Gets Down At Treethouse

BY JIPSY, NEFARIOUSGIRL.COMEvery year I say I am done with WMC, but every year I am just as excited to venture out and hear all the sounds of the new dance music and what new DJs are making noise on the scene.

This time around, it’s Monday night in Miami Beach and Miami Music Week is in full throttle. On my list: Link and Miami Rebels present the label release party for Paris-based Apollonia Records at Treehouse.

There were two rooms, the first being The Apollonia Room where we walked into a room full of people dancing to the mixings of Shonky and Dyed Soundorom. Felt refreshing but not surprising. The tech house scenes dress code is sneakers and comfortable clothes to dance to and everyone has two things in common: the music and the DJ, period.

Lotus Seven did a live set with a WMC exclusive and when the first track played, the room just exploded.

But that wasn’t the only buzz at this party. Over in the Mobilee Room, Anja Schneider and her crew kept the fans of this Berlin record label dancing. We hung out and heard Mobilee artist Ray Okpara and Sebo K, then stayed at Treehouse to hear Anja at 3:15 a.m.

So much for being over WMC.
