School Principal Kisses Pig As Students Reach Reading Goals (VIDEO)

WATCH: School Principal Kisses Pig To Encourage Reading

A school principal kisses a pig over reading? That's what happened at Poplar Tree Elementary School in Fairfax, VA. The school has an annual reading program to encourage kids to read books, and according to Patch, this year's goal of 5,000 books came with a bonus: if they reached the target, their principal, Sharon Smith Williams, would kiss a pig.

When they reached 2,000 books, the teachers wore pigtails. At 4,000 books, the staff wore pig noses. And when they hit the final target... well, you can watch the video above to see what happened next.
