Tampa Bay Rays' ace David Price revealed that he'll be giving away a stack of free opening day tickets to 100 lucky fans.

The athlete made the announcement Wednesday of Twitter:

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Price is planning to give out the tickets to Rays fans between Friday and Sunday in the Tampa Bay area. The tickets are for the Rays' opening game against the Baltimore Orioles on April 2.

Dozens of Price's 142,000-plus Twitter followers have expressed their delight at the pitcher's generous offer. Many even asked the Tennessee native to save them a ticket.

Price has yet to reveal how and where he's going to give out the free tickets, but he has hinted that he might choose to take some of his fans by surprise:
