Reinaldo Solano, NW Miami Dade Man, Gunned Down Arriving Home From Work (VIDEO)

Man Gunned Down Arriving Home From Work

A NW Miami-Dade man was shot to death in front of his own home early Wednesday morning.

Police say 58-year-old Reinaldo Solano had just arrived home at 579 NW 96th Street about 1:45 a.m. and was backing into his driveway when he was confronted by at least one armed suspect.

The gunman opened fire, leaving Solano dead in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds, said Miami-Dade Det. Roy Rutland.

Solano's family rushed from the home and spotted the gunman fleeing eastbound on 96th Street in a dark-colored vehicle, reports WSVN.

Investigators are tentatively investigating the shooting as a robbery.

"We're confident somebody knows who did this," Rutland told NBC6. "People talk."

The horrific crime comes a day after Miami-Dade Police released video of a similar shooting in Palmetto Bay. Frederick Duberry, 44, was gunned down in June 2012 after arriving home from work late at night by a man holding what appears to be an assault rifle.

Duberry, too, was left dead in his own driveway. Authorities hope anyone with information will call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
