What's that looming on the horizon? A bird? A plane? A... stay-at-home dad? Sky News reported last week that Britain's helicopter service is restructuring, which may put Prince William out of work. Prince William is a Flight Lieutenant at a base that the RAF's new owner plans to shutter, and with Royal Baby Watch in full swing, we're curious about what Will might do with all that free time.

Bristow Helicopters, a Houston, Texas-based operation, is taking over RAF's service. The helicopter base's relocation will improve response times and incorporate better technology than its predecessors, and the construction of Bristow's new fleet will create around 350 jobs around the UK.

The new contract won't kick in 'til 2015, when the Royal Baby hits its terrible twos. But it looks like this change will put Will out of work. Naturally, we wonder: How will he keep busy?

Behold, his options:

  • Move to the US, to aid in the UK's new helicopter rescue firm's managing efforts.
  • Take up domestic hobbies, like cooking, cleaning and gardening.
  • Check out the London social scene with Harry and cousins Beatrice and Eugenie.

Which option do you think is most likely?

Cherish the sight of William in the sky while you still can:
