Maria Menounos' Diamond Ring: 'Extra' Host Sports Gem On Engagement Finger (PHOTO)

It looks like Maria Menounos could have an extra bit of loving in her life right now.

The "Extra" host was spotted wearing a diamond-encrusted ring on her engagement finger Wednesday when she stepped out at a farmers' market in Los Angeles. Menounos will have been dating producer Kevin Undergaro for about 15 years next month, so perhaps this is an early anniversary gift?

But according to Menounos herself, that's not the case. During an appearance on "Live! with Kelly and Michael" on Thursday morning, Menounos said it was not an engagement ring and that the couple have not made any further moves to enhance their commitment.

Regardless, The Daily Mail reports that Menounos was first spotted with the ring last week.

If this is, in fact, an engagement ring, it may come as a surprise for some who recall her saying on Bethenny Frankel's daytime talk show last year that she wasn't sure it was the right time to tie the knot. She also admitted her father had been upset about her dating Undergaro at first because he isn't Greek, like the family.

"The timing didn't quite work out in the beginning when we really kind of felt it," she said. "And then after that, we got so busy. And we kind of realized, 'Well, do we really need to get married?' I don't know. And that's still kind of a question in my mind: Are you supposed to get married? Do you have to get married? It doesn't look like it works out that well a lot unfortunately, so it scares me."

But the family issues must have subsided, as Menounos admitted that now her parents are the ones urging her to make the commitment. Could she and Undergaro have finally followed through, despite her protestations?
