Movie Trailer Proposal: Man Pops The Question With Super Sweet Video (VIDEO)

WATCH: The Sweetest Movie Trailer Proposal Ever

Movie trailers don't get much sweeter than this.

Atlanta couple Jason Lee and Sophia Shin became engaged earlier this month after Lee created a movie trailer describing his love for Shin. He surprised her by playing it when they went to see a movie on her birthday.

Lee told HuffPost Weddings that he decided to pop the question using a movie trailer because he wanted to give her a proposal she'd remember for the rest of her life -- especially since getting engaged is (hopefully) a once-in-a-lifetime event.

"I know I'm not the first one to do [a movie trailer proposal], but I thought it would be the perfect thing to do, something we could watch together 50 years later," Lee said.

He recruited video production company Stop And Stare Photo to help make the video, then worked with CineBistro at Town Brookhaven in Atlanta to show the trailer before a screening of "Identity Thief" on March 10, Shin's birthday. Lee and Shin had dinner reservations for later that night, so Lee suggested seeing the movie to kill time.

Right before the trailer started, Lee excused himself to go to the restroom, then waited until the trailer was over to return to the theater and pop the question. In their 13 months of dating, Lee had never seen Shin cry before -- but she cried while watching the trailer.

"I was super nervous that I'd mess up my speech, and [I was nervous about] her reaction," Lee said. "We had never talked about marriage before, but I had a feeling we were heading in the same direction."

Spoiler alert: She said "yes!" To see seven more movie trailer proposals, click through the slideshow below.
