After the recent death of 113-year-old Elsie Thompson, Jeralean Talley is now the oldest person in America.

At 113-years-old, Talley is also the third oldest person in the world, according to the Gerontology Research Group, which has a list of oldest living validated supercentenarians -- that are those who are 110 years old or over. (The oldest person in the world is 115-year-old Jiroemon Kimura of Japan.)

Talley seemed in good spirits in a Detroit Free Press video posted on USA Today's website, doing a dance when asked how she felt to be America's oldest person.

Though she takes her coffee black with a little sugar every morning and doesn't eat cheese, Talley doesn't credits her longevity not to any food or drink regimen -- she says it is God's will.

"Don't ask me," she told the Detroit Free Press. "Ask him."
