The pride of Reykjavík, Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós hit Chicago Tuesday evening for a show at the UIC Pavilion.

In their first performance in the Windy City since last summer's Lollapalooza, the band, according to the Consequence of Sound blog, played four new songs from their upcoming new album "Kveikur" in addition to older favorites like "Olsen Olsen." Opening was Oneohtrix Point Never.

Photographer (and friend of HuffPost Chicago) Joshua Mellin was also on the scene and shared some shots from the concert.

"Kveikur" will be out in June, meanwhile the band is in the midst of a lengthy North American tour.
