WASHINGTON -- You can't predict the weather. Well, you can predict the weather but it's really hard. Sometimes you predict the weather and are wrong and change your prediction. Sometimes you change your prediction again because predicting the weather is really, really hard.

The new dates, the third set of dates, for the cherry blossoms peak bloom are April 6 to 8, according to the National Park Service. The Capital Weather Gang is predicting a slightly longer bloom of April 6 to 10.

The National Cherry Blossom Festival began March 20 and runs through April 14.
