Nicholas Marino, Kaylee Rebert Missing: Teens Believed To Be Suicidal (VIDEO)

Missing California Teens Believed To Be Suicidal

Officers in Thousand Oaks, Calif., are searching for two teenagers who have been missing since early Thursday morning and believed to be suicidal.

Nicholas Marino, 13, and Kaylee Rebert, 14, were reported missing around 1 a.m., according to Capt. Luis Obregon of the Ventura County Sheriff's Dept.

“They apparently left some notes,” Obregon told the Los Angeles Times, but would not provide further details.

Authorities think the pair are dating and ran away from their homes, the Ventura County Star reported.

Though foul play is not suspected, officials fear Marino and Rebert may be suicidal.

Scent-tracking dogs led deputies to a nearby park, but found nothing there, the paper reported.

The kids' parents have attempted to reach them via the media.

Dan Rebert, Kaylee's father said in a statement he was worried about her.

“We’ve never been so concerned for your safety,” Rebert said to her, according to KTLA-TV. “We just want you to come home. … You’re not going to be in any trouble.”

Anyone with information on the missing teens' wherabouts were urged to contact the Ventura County Sheriff's Department at (805) 654-9511.
