By now you've probably seen a big red ball smushed somewhere it doesn't belong. The big red dot popped up all over Los Angeles this week, from downtown LA to Santa Monica to Hollywood.
Officially, it's called RedBall, an art installation by New York-based artist Kurt Perschke. The RedBall is in town to let Golden Staters know that the Powerball lottery is finally opening up to California residents this Monday.
The big red ball will continue north to San Francisco over the weekend and end up in Sacramento. Good luck, California -- the jackpot is currently at $50 million.
