Melissa McCarthy 'SNL' Monologue: High Heels Were A Poor Choice (VIDEO)

WATCH: Melissa Can Barely Keep It Together

"Saturday Night Live" usually tightly controls its opening monologue, but this week, they were willing to make an exception for Melissa McCarthy.

The Oscar-nominated "Bridesmaids" comedian hosted for her second time this weekend, and spent the majority of her monologue struggling with her high heels, demanding that the band start the theme song over to let her spend more time walking out onto the stage to hit her mark.

She got some assistance from fellow Groundlings alum Taran Killam, who came out to perform a high-energy song and dance while McCarthy struggled to regain her composure after collapsing to the floor. He seemed happy to help her out: On Twitter Saturday, he called McCarthy "the funniest person I know."

Check out the clip above to see McCarthy try to make it through her "SNL" monologue without her high heels defeating her.
