Last year, YouTube prankster Andrew Hales went viral when he attempted to hold hands with strangers on a college campus.
This week, he and his friends have done another awkwardly sweet social experiment in which they hug strangers on South Beach's Lincoln Road for an awkwardly long time.
Did they get punched? Did partygoers try to get them to go to Score?
Watch the video above to see how South Beachers reacted to these long intimate embraces.
When Hales did a similar hugging experiment on Los Angeles's Venice Beach, he was met with a mostly friendly response. One man even commented "Dude, we need this everywhere at all times."
Those on South Beach can at least considered themselves nicer than those in Rome, where Hales even struck out with nuns.
