In the 1984 episode "Say Uncle," Alex discovers that his Uncle Ned (played by Oscar winner Tom Hanks) has a drinking problem. Check out this clip, in which Alex attempts to intervene and gets clocked by his alcoholic uncle, before Ned ultimately agrees to call AA.
