Matthew Perry Jokes About His Career Ups And Downs

Matthew Perry seemed to have a pretty realistic perspective on his career during his recent visit to "Conan." The star of "Go On" talked about being a huge L.A. Kings fan and how he invited one of the players to throw a party at his place after the team won the Stanley Cup.

“Like, my house has a nice view, because, you know, I was on ‘Friends,'" Perry joked.

"I bet you use that line a lot in your life," Conan O'Brien said. "I’ll have the really good steak, because I was on Friends.’”

“But we’re gonna split the bill because I was also on ‘Mr. Sunshine,'" Perry quipped, proving he's as quick with his wit as he is with his line deliveries.

Perry has been honest recently about his struggles with opiates. He battled addiction during those heady years on "Friends," which ultimately led to a stint in rehab.

"I realized that if I stepped outside of myself and lived for others I'd be happy," Perry said of his time in rehab. Nowadays, he's happy, healthy and enjoying success back on the small screen -- though NBC has yet to make a decision on his show's future.

Matthew Perry wraps the first season of "Go On" on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC. "Conan" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.
