Michelle Williams' Pixie Haircut Gets An Asymmetrical Update (PHOTOS, POLL)

Michelle Williams practically patented the pixie haircut when she cut off her long locks in favor of the short style six years ago. But it looks like the newly single actress is ready for a tress change.

Williams hit last night's Kate Young for Target launch party with an updated, undercut-inspired 'do. One side of her hair is now closely cropped, while the other side hangs long -- a far edgier look than we're used to seeing on her. Yahoo! thinks Michelle Williams looks like Justin Bieber, to which we say: Maybe Justin Bieber looks like Michelle Williams.

Michelle told E! News she planned to grow her hair out back in February, saying, "I think I'm ready." It appears Michelle's sticking to that conviction -- well, at least halfway. She added to the interview: "The mid-stage is insufferable. It's really hard on your self-esteem." We can certainly relate to difficult tress transitions. This new style seems a bit more high-maintenance than a mom like Michelle might have time for, but perhaps she's willing to commit to its upkeep.

What's your take on Michelle's updated 'do?
