These days, our knowledge of celebrities too often originates with paparazzi images and snarky quotes by anonymous "insiders." After a while, it's easy to forget that stars are real people. That's why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question and answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they've shared their guiltiest pleasures?
Zachary Quinto is everywhere at the moment. Not only did he campaign for President Obama in last year's election, but he played a serial killer in FX's spooky TV series "American Horror Story: Asylum" and is set to return to the big screen as Spock in "Star Trek Into Darkness" on May 17. HuffPost Celebrity caught up with Quinto at Manhattan Magazine's Men's Issue party at the Dream Downtown in NYC on April 9, where he filled us in on what's in his ear buds these days and if he's coming back for the highly anticipated third season of "American Horror Story." (Gosh, we hope so).
What's always on your DVR?Well I don't have a home right now so I don't have a DVR. [laughs] Unfortunately, I'm living out of my suitcase. But "Veep," "Girls" ... very HBO-centric as you can tell ... "Newsroom" and "House of Cards."
What's on your nightstand? My jam box and usually a bottle of sparkling water.
What's your guilty pleasure?I don't know, it could be anything. Um, the High Line ... I don't know! [laughs]
When do you lose your temper?When people aren't smart.
Flight or invisibility? Invisibility.
Whom or what have you been jealous of lately?I try not to really cultivate jealousy.
What's the last song you downloaded?I just downloaded the new Shins album, which I've been listening to and enjoying very much.
If you could be anything aside from an actor, what would you be?A spirit.
And please tells us -- are you in the third season of "American Horror Story"?I don't know anything! I have had no conversations with anybody about it, so we'll see.
