Danny Santos II's 'Bad Weather' Photography Series Captures Strangers In The Rain (PHOTOS)

Lookin' Good In Bad Weather

"Rain is a catalyst putting everyone on hyperdrive," photographer Danny Santos II wrote in an email to the Huffington Post. "People are thrown out of their comfort zone... It's this other side of humanity that got me interested about shooting in the rain."

Santos, a self-described "weekend photographer" snaps pictures of people on the streets of Singapore when he isn't working as a graphic designer. His "Bad Weather" series focuses on strangers' reactions to an unexpected shower or torrential downpour.

Some subjects kick off their shoes and dance in puddles, others take cover under makeshift cardboard umbrellas as the monotony of everyday life breaks down, if only for a brief moment. After seeing Santos' female-friendly street view we have to ask, are there no men roaming these rainy streets?

Check out Santos' photos in the slideshow below and check out his website for accompanying narratives to each shot. In the meantime, enjoy this quote from the photographer himself: "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass… it's about learning to dance in the rain."
