Street Wedding: Couple Marries On Corner Where They Met (VIDEO)

Taniah Smith and Luron Flynn met on the corner of 14th and U streets in Washington, D.C. And exactly four years later, that's where they tied the knot.

Flynn told local news station WUSA9 Wednesday that he spotted Smith at 14th and U on the night of April 10, 2009 and became transfixed by her smile, so he ran to meet her. They tied the knot with passersby acting as their "guests."

"[It was] very, very romantic. I love him," Smith said.

Smith said she was "sold" on Flynn when she asked him to go out on a Saturday night and he replied that he needed to stay home, since he had to go to church the next day.

"The moral of the story is go to church," Flynn said.

Tying the knot where you met your spouse is one way to make your wedding meaningful -- even if the location isn't exactly romantic. One couple married at a Cincinnati White Castle in February because they met there 29 years ago, and in 2012 another couple got hitched at the Wal-Mart where they first met.
