Boston University Student In Coma Following Boston Explosions

The South China Morning Post has reported that Zhou Danling was a spectator at the finish line, as her name does not appear on the race's runner roster. Boston University's media office released a statement late Monday afternoon that accounted for students who ran in the race and for its medical staff who volunteered at a medical tent behind the finish line.

BU did not name Zhou Danling during a call with The Huffington Post, but said the injured student is in stable condition at Boston Medical Center. Zhou's mother is working with the Chinese consulate in New York to return her daughter when her health allows, according to Xinua.

Immediately following the bombings, as students and parents frantically tried to contact one another, BU students improvised the hashtag #OKatBU to inform friends and followers of their conditions.
