Nineteen-year-old Analouisa Valencia , the African-American and Latina lesbian who is competing in the Miss South Carolina contest, recently joined HuffPost Live to chat about her platform, coming out and her recent publicity.
"I don't think it's about that crown," Valencia, who is also a Special Olympics advocate, explained. "I don't think it's about really winning the title of Miss South Carolina. It's more about the people."
