Stan Lee To Make Rare Colorado Appearance At Denver Comic Con

Comic Legend Coming To Denver

DENVER -- Stan Lee, who is credited with co-creating such comic book characters as Spider-Man, the Hulk, X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man and Thor, will make his first appearance in Colorado in more than 20 years when he attends the 2013 Denver Comic Con.

Lee is scheduled to appear on the final day of the convention, Sunday, June 2. Fewer than 300 tickets will be available to meet Lee, and "gold" and "silver" packages will be available for purchase at a later date. They will be sold as "add-ons" to other Denver Comic Con ticket packages.

Tickets for Denver Comic Con, scheduled for May 31-June 2 at the Colorado Convention Center, go on sale at noon MT on Wednesday, April 24. They are available at denvercomiccon.com. A three-day pass will cost $50 for an adult and $30 for 11-16-year-olds. Children 10 and younger are admitted free. Single-day passes also are available, ranging in price from $20 to $25 for adults and $12-$15 for teens.

In addition to comic books, the three-day convention focuses on popular television shows, movies, Japanese Animation, CosPlay, toys, gaming and sci-fi/fantasy. ___
