MLB teams around the country having been playing Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" for the past several days to show support for the people of Boston. When the Red Sox and their fans returned to Fenway Park on Saturday, they got the real thing.
Diamond was in attendance for the Red Sox first home game since the bombings at the Boston Marathon. During the eighth inning, he took the field and sang "Sweet Caroline," a song that has been a Fenway staple for years.
Making this moment even better, Diamond reportedly just showed up of his own volition.
