Kate Middleton Could Be Your Neighbor, If You Bought Carlton Terrace (PHOTOS)

Yeah, we're pretty excited at the prospect, too.

Kate Middleton is a hot topic here at The Huffington Post. The Duchess is revered for her personal style, her taste in real estate, and of course, for her burgeoning baby bump. But what if we could actually live next door to the princess? Could our dream of being besties with KMids actually be a possibility?

Yes, but only if we could pony up more than $380 million. That tidy sum buys a 50,000-square-foot house overlooking St. James's Park and situated next door to the Queen in central London. The term "house" doesn't even apply to this mammoth estate -- we think "abbey" might be more appropriate. Unsurprisingly, the Carlton House Terrace pad is described as the largest private residence in London.

The property, owned by a a member of Middle Eastern royalty, is up for sale. Unfortunately, there are only two photos available, and one is from the 1890s (apparently, the owner doesn't want the interiors photographed for security reasons). According to the Evening Standard, "The stuccoed mansion, built to a design by John Nash between 1827 and 1832, was once one of London’s most important and glittering political salons."

But don't get too excited, because the house isn't perfect -- there's no swimming pool. Oh well, what's another few million in renovations when you've already dropped over a quarter of a billion dollars?

Jeeves, fetch the car! We'll take it.
