Kristen Wiig will return to her old stomping ground of "Saturday Night Live" to host the show on May 11, NBC announced. Supporting her will be the band Vampire Weekend.

This will be the first time that Wiig has hosted "SNL" since ending her 7-season run on the show last year, although she did a brief cameo during this season's Christmas episode. During her time on the show, "SNL" executive producer Lorne Michaels said she was one of the "top three or four" cast members of all time. Her last episode, in which Mick Jagger serenaded her with "She's a Rainbow" as she danced with each cast member, was hailed as one of the most memorable moments on the show in recent years.

She recently said that she has felt "lost" since leaving the show.

Wiig will next been seen on the big screen this summer starring in "Girl Most Likely," which she also produced. She also will play young Lucille Bluth in the upcoming season of "Arrested Development" coming out next month, and was announced to play a role in this winter's "Anchorman 2."

NBC also announced that the season finale on May 18 will be hosted by Ben Affleck with musical guest Kanye West. The network had previously said that Zach Galifianakis will host the May 4 episode.
