Kate Hudson was reportedly "totally surprised" by the secret birthday bash her fiance, Matthew Bellamy, organized to celebrate her 34th birthday.
The actress previously told Us Weekly that she was looking forward to just hanging with her family for the occasion, but what she got was a star-studded event at the Greenwich Hotel.
On April 20, guests including Cameron Diaz, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann showed up to help celebrate the "A Little Bit of Heaven" star's birthday.
"The party started outside, but it was freezing so people moved inside and danced," a source told Us Weekly, adding that Hudson, who looked beautiful in a tight metallic dress, "loves to dance and she was just really happy talking to everyone."
According to the magazine, Hudson spent April 19, her actual birthday, watching her fiance's band Muse perform at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Hudson and Bellamy have been engaged since April 2011, and have a 21-month-old son named Bingham together. Hudson also has a 9-year-old son named Ryder, from a previous marriage.
As for the couple's nuptials, Hudson recently told "Extra" that the wedding will happen -- at some point:
“Eventually, yes. I look forward to it... we’ll both figure it out. We’ve been both very busy, but it will happen," she said.
