It's not often that we get to hear Kate Middleton speak, but she seems to be willing to lend her voice to a very worthy cause: children's hospices.
The first time we ever heard the Duchess of Cambridge make a formal speech was while visiting a facility in Ipswich just a year ago. Now, Kate stars in her first-ever video broadcast in honor of Children's Hospice Week. The campaign, organized by UK charity Together For Short Lives, features the duchess speaking directly into the camera, urging people to help support their local hospice.
"Children's hospices provide lifelines to families at a time of unimaginable pain," she says. "The support they give is vital."
As patron of East Anglia Children's Hospice, Kate makes frequent visits to facilities to spend time with the young patients and their families. In fact, she'll be spending her second wedding anniversary (today!) visiting Naomi House Children's Hospice in Hampshire.
