Jennifer Lopez and "American Idol" made headlines when rumors erupted that the triple threat was in talks to return to "Idol" and replace current judge Mariah Carey. Those plans, according to The Hollywood Reporter, were quashed and Fox said they were nothing but rumors.

"Extra" caught up with the "Jenny From the Block" singer who spent two seasons on the "American Idol" judging panel and asked her about the Mariah Carey reports.

"I don't have much to say about that right now," Lopez said. Would she consider returning to "Idol" next season? Well, she didn't say no.

"I don't know," she said. "It's too far off to say right now."
