Man Pays Off Mom's Mortgage To Thank Her For Being Awesome (VIDEO)

Awed by his mother's unconditional love and grateful for her years of nurturing, a young man scrimped and saved so he could offer her a meaningful token of his appreciation.

In this heartwarming tribute video, which was posted Monday on YouTube, the man expresses his amazement for his mom before revealing his awesome gift to her.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for her," the man says in the clip. "You ask me who my mother is? She's definitely the strongest person I know."

Later in the video, the man is seen sitting his unsuspecting mother down in a chair, before giving her an envelope containing a hefty check, a check that will pay off her mortgage.

"Are you sure?" asks the mom, clearly flabbergasted by the surprise gift. "Wow, wow, wow."

According to a post by Redditor IcarusSoar, who claims to be the man in the clip, he was making about $30,000 a year when he saved up enough to cover his mother's mortgage.

"When there is a goal you truly want to reach, all the other things in your life begin to work around it," he wrote. "[It's] just a matter of choices."

Netizens applauded the young man for his generosity. Many said they wish they could give their mothers something truly spectacular for Mother's Day.
