Police: Missing Girl Abducted From School

UPDATE: 5/2/2013 -- The amber alert for Jashayla Markiaya Hopson was lifted after she was found in safe condition, WSFA reports.

EARLIER -- Authorities in Mississippi are searching for a 6-year-old girl who was taken from her school Tuesday.

Jashayla Markiaya Hopson, of Kemper County, was allegedly seen being forced into a gray, four-door sedan driven by a young black female, according to the Alabama Department of Public Safety. Officials say the vehicle was possibly traveling to Alabama.

Hopson was wearing turquoise pants and a pink shirt with ice cream designs when she was last seen. She also had on white sandals.

Hopson is 4 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 50 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.
