Make Your Own Potpourri With Tea Leaves (PHOTOS)

Forget expensive sprays and wall plug-ins, this repurposing idea is the way to go.

If you've been looking for a great way to give your home a fresh scent without spending a lot of money, we're totally with you. That's why when we came across this super easy repurposing idea from Suite 101 on how to make your own potpourri with tea, we just had to share.

To make a liquid diffuser, first boil dry leaves from your favorite scent as if to make a drink. Then, add spices, such as cinnamon, to the mixture. Finally, allow that to simmer and the lovely smell will fill up the entire house. Squidoo also recommends drying out leaves and placing them in a dish, which will also add a nice aroma.

This new use for tea is a completely green way to make your abode smell lovely. And there's nothing more satisfying than being eco-fabulous without having to spend a lot of cash.
