Reese Witherspoon Argues With Cop In Arrest Tape (VIDEO)

WATCH: Reese Witherspoon Freaks Out In Arrest Video

The video of Reese Witherspoon's run-in with the cops has finally leaked--and it's a doozy. (Watch above.)

In the short clip, which was put out by TMZ, the 37-year-old "Legally Blonde" star drunkenly argues with an Atlanta police officer, and implies that her celebrity status will bring him problems.

Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct on April 19 after her husband, Jim Toth, was pulled over for drunk driving (he was also arrested).

As the video begins, Witherspoon gets out of her car and confronts the officer, who asks her, "Ma'am, what'd I just tell you to do?"

"I'd like to know what's going on," she says. "I'm a U.S. citizen. I'm allowed to stand on American ground and ask any question I want to ask."

At that point, the officer handcuffs her. "This is harassment," Witherspoon continues. "You're harassing me as an American citizen. I have done nothing against the law."

"Do you know my name?" she later asks. When he says he does not need to know, she says "you're about to find out who I am."

As the video ends, Witherspoon is escorted into a police car, and her husband apologizes. "I'm sorry," he tells the cop. "I had nothing to do with that."

Days after the incident, Witherspoon released a statement saying that she was "deeply embarrassed" about her behavior.

On Tuesday, she offered another mea culpa to George Stephanopoulos, saying of her attitude toward the cop, "I was so disrespectful to him. I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. It's just unacceptable."
