'Swamp People': The Monster Of Monster Marsh

The mother-daughter duo, the Cavaliers, went in search of the Monster of Monster Marsh on "Swamp People." The gator had earned the nickname due to its sheer size, a reality the women quickly realized once they had it in their grasp.

Catching the monster to be quicker and easier than the ladies might have expected, but getting it into the boat was a different matter. Especially as they didn't have a winch.

But Liz and Jessica proved why their up to the job by hauling the beast on board, scoring the largest gator on the swamp this season for their efforts. At 13-and-a-half feet and 900 pounds, the Monster certainly earned its name, even if it didn't put up nearly the fight they might have expected.

And while it was big, it wasn't a record breaker, either. The largest gator caught in Louisiana was 19 feet, 2 inches.

See more impressive gator takedowns every week on "Swamp People," Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on History.
