Alexey Ponamarev Gets Severe Burns From Flaming Absinthe Shot (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

FLAME OUT: Fiery Bar Party Trick Goes Wrong (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

This party trick really blew up in his face.

Alexey Ponamarev, 28, said he's planning to sue bartender Albert Bykov, 34, after the barman poured a flaming shot that ended up spilling out of his mouth and lighting his face on fire Sunday night, according to the Sun. The incident took place at Harat bar in Novosibirsk, Russia.

Video of the incident, posted on Russia's Life News can be seen above. Ponamarev was reportedly rushed to the hospital with severe burns, according to the site.

Bykov blamed Ponamarev for the stunt gone-wrong.

"I usually carry it out with Sambuca but the guest insisted that I try the absinthe version and the guest is always right – but unfortunately it had negative consequences for him," Ponamarev said, according to the Sun.

Are face fires a hot new trend? Probably not, but it sure seems like a lot of people are setting themselves ablaze anyway.

Just ask this guy who apparently uploaded a video of himself taking a flaming shot that engulfed his face.

"I thought that I could take the shot and shut my mouth then the fire would go out, but I spilt some down the side of my face and down my shirt," the man writes in his video description posted on Jukinvideo.com "I tried wiping it off and it didn't work so I tried to blow out the fire which shot a 3 foot flame out of my mouth."

Eventually, he extinguished the flames.

"I dove in the kitchen and took my shirt off," the man wrote. "Then the fire went out. I continued drinking and enjoying the party."

And in July of last year, a Georgia man told police he got so drunk he let his pals light his face on fire.
