'Doctor Who': Clara's Secret Discovered

Clara got the chance to meet Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax -- last seen in the Christmas special, "The Snowmen" -- which certainly created some confusion for them on "Doctor Who." Though Clara doesn't know it, she is the third Clara the Doctor has found, and the Victorian trio met the first one in London. In fact, they watched her die.

Unfortunately, the Doctor didn't have any answers for them about Clara just yet, as he's still trying to figure things out. But viewers can just choose to see that unanswered question as an excuse for him to team up with them again sometime soon.

Once she got back home, though, Clara found herself in a different kind of trouble. Clara's a nanny, and the kids in her charge had come across a picture of her and the Doctor on one of their adventures. They had one of her from the 1970s, the 1980s and even one from Victorian London. Only Clara and the Doctor never made it there -- they were in Yorkshire. That photo was of the first Clara the Doctor found. So now Clara has an inkling of the mystery surrounding her, while the kids managed to figure everything out about her alien "boyfriend" and their time travel.

"We want a shot at the time machine!" Artie said. When Clara protested, Angie chimed in with, "We'll have to tell Dad that our nanny's a time traveler." As The Wall Street Journal put it, "Uh oh." Previews confirm at least one adventure is in store for the kids next week.

But Vulture was a little confused by how conveniently the kids put it all together. "Man, those kids are sharp," they noted. "A few old photos and they instantly deduced that their nanny is a time traveler? I'm suddenly having Pond flashbacks to poorly constructed ongoing narratives. Please don't let this be the sort of stuff the season finale's made of."

There are only two episodes of "Doctor Who" left this season, so we'll find out soon. Tune in Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America.
