There must be something in the water fountains at Harvard University’s Widener Library, because the campus spot seems to make students want to have sex.

A female senior wrote to the campus newspaper's advice column last week and inquired how she should go about finding a partner with whom she could have library sex. Under the pseudonym “Suddenly Horny,” she explained to The Harvard Crimson that she wanted to hook up in the library before graduating.

Crimson Editors Sarah L.A. Erwin and Julia L. Ryan explained to the student that she would have to be strategic in her search for a sex partner and outlined four groups of campus men for her to target, among them, freshmen and librarians.

This isn’t the first time a Harvard student has expressed interest in library fornication. In 2006, a Harvard freshman posted a Craigslist ad looking for a library sex partner. According to a Crimson article about the incident, the ad yielded 150 responses in its first day.

Past articles in campus outlets, such as University of California, Berkeley’s The Daily Californian and Iowa State University’s Ethos magazine, have also discussed the merits of having sex in campus libraries.
