A dolphin, bald eagle, panda and elephant helped one New York man pop the question.
While walking down the street in Brooklyn with her boyfriend, pizzeria owner Sean Berthiaume, on Saturday, artist Mandy Unruh was ambushed by 35 friends and family members wearing animal mascot costumes. The mascots surrounded her and unveiled a banner that read "Will you marry me?" Then, Berthiaume got down on one knee and popped the question -- in the same spot where they had their first kiss.
After Unruh said, "yes," the "animals" took off their masks to reveal that they were people she knew.
"We constantly joke about furries and dressing up as animals and running around the city so I decided to include that in the proposal," Berthiaume told HuffPost Weddings. "It was simultaneously the most nerve-racking yet magical experience of my life."

One groom-to-be actually got inside a mascot costume to propose to his girlfriend, an art teacher. He dressed as her school's mascot and surprised her at a school assembly in 2012. A university basketball coach also donned his school's mascot costume to propose to his girlfriend, a dance coach, at a school dance-off.
