Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'Mosquito' Video: Rock Trio Unveils Stark New Clip

Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Bloodsucking 'Mosquito' Video

Who knew the Yeah Yeah Yeahs could be so literal? The video for the band's newest single, "Mosquito," has debuted, and it features, well, a mosquito.

What the video does not feature is any of the band members, as singer Karen O, guitarist Nick Zinner and Brian Chase do not appear once. They're instead replaced by a young boy being bitten by a mosquito. Halfway through the video, as the music revs up, psychedelic rainbow colors pulsate through the bug's body.

"Mosquito" marks the second single from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' recently released album of the same name. The first, "Sacrilege," came out in February and was also accompanied by a video that did not feature the band members. Whereas the "Sacrilege" video plays out like scenes in a movie, "Mosquito" is starker and more restrained.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs scored their third consecutive Top 10 album with "Mosquito," which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
