"Criminal Minds" has been renewed for a ninth season on CBS.
The drama follows the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), focusing on the people who commit the most horrific crimes. Starring Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler and, most recently, Jeanne Tripplehorn, has gone through several high-profile cast shake-ups over the last eight seasons, but the ratings have remained high.
"Criminal Minds" made headlines when negotiations with the cast for Season 9 went down to the wire. A representative for CBS confirmed the entire cast including A.J. Cook and Kirsten Vangsness will return for Season 9.
The ratings for Season 8 dipped a bit, which is to be expected that far along in a series, but the show still averages over 12.5 million viewers.
"Criminal Minds" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
