Engagement GIF: Photos Of Marriage Proposal Turned Into Awesome Animated GIF (PHOTOS)

LOOK: The GIF That Will Make Your Day

Move over, engagement photos... it's time for engagement GIFs!

Chicago graphic designer Joe Klomes captured his proposal to his girlfriend, Kim Firth, on Tuesday in a series of photos; then, he turned those photos into an animated GIF. He posted the GIF on Reddit Thursday -- check it out below:

Klomes told HuffPost Weddings that Firth always said they didn't have enough pictures together. So he took her out to a pier on Lake Michigan and told her it would be a good place to take a photo. He set up his tripod and camera, but secretly set the camera on interval shooting (so it would take a photo every five seconds). Then, he got in front of the camera, dropped to one knee and popped the question.

"I wanted to have photos of the entire thing to keep the memory of it. I knew it was going to happen so fast, so I wanted to catch every expression," Klomes said. "Turning it into a GIF was kind of an afterthought. I wanted to do something interesting with the series of photos to show family and friends. An animated GIF seemed like an easy way to show the story."

We think Klomes had the right idea!
