Sawgrass Turtle: Marshall Drops Big Turtle Into Water At The Players Championship (VIDEO/GIF)

It's only a matter of time until @SawgrassTurtle is live tweeting The Players Championship. It's possible that account is already racking up followers by the time you watch the video above.

In either case, another turtle (or maybe the same one) made waves at TPC Sawgrass during The Players Championship in 2013. A marshall on the course picked up a large turtle on the course on Friday. Perhaps due to the turtle's apparent attempts to bite him (understandable attempts, given the fact that he'd just been scooped up unexpectedly), the marshall unceremoniously dropped him into the water near the 16th fairway.

This isn't the first time that a turtle has made an appearance during The Players. During the final round of the tournament in 2011, a turtle took a memorable dive off into the water near the 16th green.
