'Celebrity Apprentice' Renewed: NBC Orders Season 7 Of Donald Trump Series

RENEWED

The Donald Trump-hosted reality series would be returning for its seventh season of pitting stars against one another in a business-centric competition for the prize of a generous sum of money for the charity of the celebrity's choice.

Trump announced that "Celebrity Apprentice" had been renewed via Twitter:

NBC's decision to renew "Celebrity Apprentice" comes as no surprise. The reality series has had steady ratings in its current all-star season, averaging about a 1.6 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and more than 5 million total viewers. On multiple occasions, "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" beat out ABC and CBS in the key demo and was No. 1 or tied for No. 1 for in every key demographic -- a definite feat for the struggling Peacock network.

Although NBC has not yet announced the renewal, a source close to the show confirmed the news on Monday, saying "Celebrity Apprentice" has already started casting for its seventh season.

The season finale of "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" airs Sunday, May 19 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
