Art Museum Day: D.C. Free Museums Include Corcoran, Phillips Collection, National Museum Of Women In The Arts

WASHINGTON -- Let's face it: We're spoiled by free museums in Washington, D.C..

For those museums that do charge an entrance fee, we're always trying to take advantage of open house days. This Saturday, Art Museum Day opens the doors -- for free! -- to three D.C. museums: the Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Phillips Collection and the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

The Baltimore Museum of Art will also waive its entrance fee Saturday, while the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art will hold special programs in collaboration with the nationwide event.

Hillwood Estate, Museum and Garden is participating by offering future two-for-one admission to its upcoming exhibit Living Artfully: At Home with Marjorie Merriweather Post, which opens June 8.
