Diddy isn't joining "Downton Abbey." But he's a hoot on "Downtown Abbey."

That's what Diddy repeatedly calls the hit show in his spoof of "Downton Abbey" at Funny Or Die. The video was posted midnight Thursday on the heels of a Diddy Twitter tease Wednesday that he was a new cast member.

Alas, he will not be calling "Downton Abbey" home next season. But his streetwise and rather rude "Lord Wolcott" in the comedy sketch would make an interesting addition.

Watch the Lord lord it over the stiff-upper-lipped -- and perhaps you'll agree with Diddy that the sketch "was some riveting period drama."

Or just a really funny parody.
