Pharrell Williams Joins 'Styled To Rock': Producer To Serve As Mentor On Rihanna's Fashion Reality Show

We were already super excited that Rihanna's fashion reality show "Styled To Rock" was making its way from the UK to states. Now comes news that Pharrell Williams will be joining the cast as a mentor when the series hits the air sometime this year on the Style Network.

The famed producer, who is known for his unique personal style, has made his mark in the fashion industry with his Billionaire Boys Club clothing line and is planning to launch a new collection called Bee Line. However, joining the competition show that searches for the next trendsetting designer will definitely be a new adventure (besides that guest appearance on "Project Runway") for Pharrell.

“We are delighted to have Pharrell, who is a driving force in both the music industry and fashion world, serve as a mentor on 'Styled to Rock,'" Salaam Coleman Smith, president of Style Media, said in a release. "Pharrell's unique aesthetic and commitment to individuality combined with Rihanna's vision for this series will enable our aspiring designers to hone their craft and learn from the very people who set the trends.”

The two superstars have collaborated together musically, but this will be the first time they team up in the name of fashion. Although Rihanna is a bona fide rockstar and there was a lot of buzz around "Styled To Rock" when it premiered in the UK last year, it did not translate into high ratings. Perhaps the show will have better luck stateside with the addition of RiRi's fancy friends! We'll have to wait and see.
