In time lapse footage posted online by NBC affiliate WMC-TV, the quick-moving progress of Monday's massive Oklahoma City tornado is terrifyingly apparent.
Just one day after a deadly tornado killed two near Shawnee, Okla., at least one other twister touched down near Oklahoma City on Monday.
The storm left a huge swath of destruction in its wake, leveling homes and schools. KFOR Channel 4 in Oklahoma City sent out a tweet estimating the tornado at about 1.25 miles wide.

Television footage shows flattened buildings and fires after a mile-wide tornado moved through the Oklahoma City area.
Video showed homes and buildings in Moore, Okla., were reduced to rubble, and vehicles littered roadways south and southwest of Oklahoma City. [...]
The suburb of Moore, where Monday's damage was concentrated, was hit hard by a tornado in 1999 that included the highest winds ever recorded near the earth's surface.
According to the National Weather Service, the region could experience continuing severe weather into Monday evening, with cities including Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Springfield, Mo., remaining in the Weather Service's "Risk Area."
