'SVU' Finale: 'Law And Order: SVU' Season 14 Goes Out With A Bang (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

'SVU's' Shocking Finale Preview

The "Law & Order: SVU" finale is going out with a bang.

In HuffPost TV's exclusive preview above, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Rollins (Kelli Giddish) are stumped by a mysterious criminal. "I had him," Benson says. "He was getting off on telling me the details." But things soon escalate and Benson finds herself in mortal danger.

"The finale starts off in a very casual tone where we're all on a day off," "SVU" star Danny Pino told TVGuide.com. "Then it slowly gets darker and darker, and by the end of the episode, it's about as dark as the episodes have ever gotten [and] I don't know if [Amaro] can help Benson."

Check out NBC's official description of the episode, titled "Her Negotiation," and tune in for the "SVU" finale on Wed., May 22 at 9 p.m. ET:

After making a seemingly routine arrest of a man exposing himself in Central Park, Detective Rollins (Kelli Giddish) has a bad feeling about the suspect and calls upon the entire SVU squad and ADA Barba (Raúl Esparza) to help. With no way to discover the suspect's true identity, he masterfully outplays them at every turn. A shocking theory comes to light, and as Barba's trial comes to a close, the situation rapidly escalates and Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is put into mortal danger. Also starring Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Danny Pino (Detective Nick Amaro), Dean Winters (Brian Cassidy) and Tamara Tunie (M.E. Melinda Warner).
