Julianne Moore Solves Her Cannes 'Toemageddon' Debacle On 'Late Night' (VIDEO)

Julianne Moore addressed what she has dubbed "Toemageddon" on her most recent appearance on "Late Night." She was on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival last week when she had some problems with her shoes. Particularly, her toes were kind of spilling out the sides -- and the Internet had a field day, making the pictures quickly go viral.

“You couldn’t do that on purpose if you tried," said Jimmy Fallon of the awkward images.

“I didn’t feel a thing. Not a thing," Moore said. As for a way to prevent this in the future? "I did what any reasonable person would do," she explained. "I needed to prevent this from happening again, so I cut my toes off.”

Moore then presented Fallon with a box of her "toes," which made Vulture's list of notable late night moments.

Juliianne Moore, and her toes, are in her latest movie, "What Maisie Knew," currently in limited release. "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. ET on NBC.
